With this newsletter acam starts up a new service which will regularly inform you about the latest product news and the manyfold potential of high precision time measurement.
With the ALCS-350 acam introduces a high-precision load cell simulator that is well suited for all kinds of weighing electronics for strain gauge load cells. The simulator is compatible with electronics with DC voltage excitation and AC voltage excitation and is ideally suited to work with acam's PICOSTRAIN devices. It has very high precision and high temperature stability and can generate a very high precision analysis of converter electronics linearity due to the internal structure of the simulator. The ALCS-350 offers user-friendly device control by the mechanical switches or by means of a PC connected to either a RS232 or USB interface. Simple ASCII code commands allow the ALCS-350 to be embedded in an automated test system and makes it a perfect tool for systematic, PC-controlled testing and batch control. It can be used in the laboratory as well as in production testing.
The PICOTURN-BM V6 represents the 6th generation of our approved and well known speed measurement system for turbochargers. The modular and compact system is easy to mount and perfectly suited for the rough environmental conditions that can be found in an engine. It is optimized with respect to similar sensitivity for the different kinds of sensors and can be used for all standard compressor wheels (down to 32mm (1.3‘) wheels). The high sensitivity allows a large distance between sensor and the rotating vanes. Even the rotational speed of compressor wheels made out of titanium can easily be measured.
The PICOTURN-DY completes the PICOTURN product family for measuring the rotational speed of turbochargers by a new display unit. Based on the modular concept of the PICOTURN product family the PICOTURN-DY perfectly fits into existing measurement chains and provides an ideal solution for mobile or stationary use in test vehicles or engine test benches.
